10/366 | Blessed

I've been eyeing my Blessed sign that sits on my dining room sideboard, determined to make a statement with it, so I took it with me to nearby Trees and Trails.

Among the fallen leaves, mostly barren trees, and cloudy skies, there are still blessings. We can be like that pine tree in the background showing off color year round, or we can succumb to our circumstances by dying away like the dead leaves. If I dwell on the negatives in my life, I'd never get out of bed. It takes a concerted effort to look at the positive. Some days it's easier to do than others, granted. But we're alive and breathing on this amazing earth, and if you consciously look, there are blessings. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

Whatever your circumstances, be blessed and be a blessing.
