Early this morning we had a windy storm roll through Baton Rouge, so we went to LSU Lakes in the afternoon after the sun came out, thinking maybe some birds were blown in. No such luck. Hubby suggested Capitol Lakes around the Governor's Manson and voila! We actually got two new lifers to add to our bird list: the Bufflehead and Ruddy Ducks. However, today's image will be the American White Pelican. These appear to be the last pair to leave our waters, and one of them put on a show. Thank you, God!
