A couple of Muscovy Ducks napping among the cypress knees at LSU Lakes. The Snowy and Great Egrets were fishing but struck out, and a pair of white Snow Geese refused to face each other to make the heart shape I wanted. Wildlife never cooperates! LOL Seems every day I make a plan to shoot something very specific, yet end up having to settle.

As we say in Louisiana, here's a little lagniappe (something extra, a bonus):
I wanted to use this photo so badly for my photo of the day because CONGRATULATIONS LSU on winning the championship game against the Clemson Tigers last night!!!! What a wild night! Baton Rouge and New Orleans were all abuzz before and after the game. The French Quarter was LIT. Once LSU clinched it, several neighbors shot off fireworks on our street. Stores stayed open until after midnight to sell championship merchandise. It's so gratifying to have something in this state to be proud of. The LSU players are young men of faith, humble, clean-cut; all you'd hope to have in a team. My mother was a huge LSU fan and I know she was watching with glee from above.
Today I visited Mike the Tiger's enclosure since the campus was closed due to the festivities. He looked pooped out, then he sat up just as I approached with my camera and yawned. As if to say, "Hey, I had a rough night. Didn't you see how hard I worked?" I tried and tried to get rid of the fence in Photoshop to no avail. If I can ever figure out how to get rid of it, I'll swap out the Muscovies in a heartbeat.
