My dad dropped in for an unexpected visit today, so my routine got thrown off. It was good to visit with him though. My husband is out of town, so Izzy enjoyed cozying up next to my dad for some bonding time. After he left, I drove over to Burden Gardens, hoping to get the Ruby-throat at a different flower, but he really likes the cigar plant. The Gulf Fritillary posed on the porterweed, so that'll have to do. The underside markings of the Fritillary shimmers like silver, but on the images they appear white. Anyway. both the Fritillary and the flowers are rather faded, thus the title of this post. Tomorrow we are supposed to start getting the effects from Hurricane Delta so there's no telling what kind of images I'll have for those days. I just hope my husband delays his trip back a day to avoid driving in the storm.
