On Tuesday, the 27th, we were advised by the beach rental owner to evacuate our cottage on Dauphin Island. Zeta was projected to flood the west end where we were staying. Feeling pretty dejected, we packed the car and took advantage of the last remaining light by touring parts of the island we didn't get a chance to see the prior day. After that, we found a restaurant that looked promising in Biloxi. Not having much else to do, and wanting to at least eat a good meal on our 30th anniversary, we stopped at Shaggy's and enjoyed the most delicious food. From our table on the upper deck we enjoyed views of the Gulf and watching the pelicans fly by.

After lunch we resigned to head home. First, we took advantage of several places to park beside the beach and walked to the shoreline. I'm pretty sure this is the Caspian Tern with winter plumage.
