Today I discovered a new tropical flower at the botanical garden. I thought, "How sweet. It looks just like a butterfly." An internet search produced instant results. This is the first time I've ever noticed a bloom with such a strong resemblance to a butterfly. It is known by several other names: Blue Glory Bower, Clerodendron, Blue Butterfly Wings, Butterfly Bush, Oxford Bush, and Cambridge Bush. Its scientific name is Rotheca myricoides. Since my Bleeding Heart Glory Bower is doing so well, I may try to plant this one, too.
