You wouldn't know from this image, but it was a particularly gloomy day. The Shadows, Whites and Exposure sliders in Lightroom came in handy for this one. The shutter speed was much slower than I prefer, causing more blur, but hey. As I near the end of this project, I'm getting tired of being fussy.
These wildflowers growing in an empty lot have gotten my attention for a couple months now. It took two social network groups to help me identify it: Fakebook and Reddit. The FB group is simply called Plant Identification, and while they are good and fast, they are very strict. Post your image, get your ID and no chit-chat. Very Soup Nazi-ish (Seinfeld fans will know). The Reddit group is called r/whatsthisplant. It's a friendlier group, but I don't always get a response there. Today, however, they were the ones to supply me with the correct ID.
