The weather has continued its cloudy/rainy pattern for the last several days. Between showers, the husband and I drove out to LSU Lakes where this Tri-colored Heron was nice enough to pose for a portrait. We then headed to Capitol Lakes, an area by the governor's mansion. A birding acquaintance informed us that a winter duck called the Bufflehead had made its way there. We saw a variety of birds and ducks, but struck out on the Bufflehead. Maybe tomorrow, with hopefully better light and weather conditions.
