Yesterday was an amazing day spent with my friend near Houma, Louisiana doing an eagle tour with Cajun Man's Swamp Tours. We visited 8 Bald Eagle nests and saw over 25 species of birds. Plus, I got a lifer: the Vermilion Flycatcher, a pretty little red and black bird who winters in a narrow range in Louisiana. His spectacular diving behavior is what made me notice him. What a little ham.
Since I have over 1600 photos to process, I just grabbed one for today that stood out to me. We were not able to get close enough to the eagles, but I definitely want to try again! My camera's focusing mechanism is still giving me trouble, so I'm torn with sending it in for repairs or upgrading. Also, I didn't notice that two of my focusing functions were disabled deep in the AF menu. Ugh. If I hadn't been so tired from partying at the parade the day before, I might've caught that. Oh well! Gives me an excuse to return.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
