It was tempting to post another tulip image, but I held off. The bees were partying in the thistles, so that was a fun, yet frustrating endeavor. I tried my best to capture them in flight, but without a tripod, the 100mm macro lens suffers. None of the AI Servo modes or other settings were able to track their swiftness to satisfy my sharpness standards either. I so wish I had splurged on Image Stabilization for this lens.
There were other wildflowers at Burden Gardens, but the thistles seemed to be the happening place. You can clearly see the pollen sacs accumulated on this little guy/gal. Party on, little buzzers!
