The collective noun for Cedar Waxwings is an Ear-Full or Museum. These are social birds and can sometimes be observed passing a berry back and forth until one finally swallows it. Instead of chirping or other traditional bird songs, the Waxwing emits a high-frequency "seeeee" sound. Depending on diet, the tip of the back tail is either orange or yellow. Today I observed both! Here, I present them perched in my neighbor's Chinese Tallow tree. We have a lot of Holly berries left, so I hope to get a better close-up of one with a berry.
