67/366 | Kinglet Surprise

Feeling uninspired with photography, I asked GOD during prayer time to bless me with a photo. Something told me to go to Independence Park, thinking maybe I'd get another Robin. There were a few things blooming, but nothing spectacular, so as I was driving out of the parking lot feeling a little let down, I noticed a tiny bird zipping around the branches of a bare Cedar tree. I stopped, pulled out my camera and snapped. Well, I'll be! It was the Ruby-crowned Kinglet which I thought was long gone as they are a winter migrant for our area. Using my car as a blind, I balanced my phone on the open window and played their beautiful song from an app. They are quite bold, so I got several good looks at this one. I felt a little guilty terrorizing it. You can see in the image that he/she is talking back. This is either a female or a juvenile.

Thank You, GOD. "Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
