This is a new addition to my backyard garden. The wild oxalis with green clover-like leaves and purple flowers grow at the bases of trees and in swamps and forests. I only ever thought of them as weeds that brighten my hikes. When I saw this particular variety at the local nursery I thought it might add interest, never realizing it blooms. Today I looked and was so surprised to see little 1/2" yellow flowers. The red stripping on the petals is pretty also.
