131/366 | Swallow-tailed Kite

May 10. A gorgeous, spectacular day! Prior to seeing the Kite which flew right by the house, we had taken a drive in the country. I photographed an abandoned dairy barn and a field of flowers. I was not feeling confident with those shots, when out of nowhere, the Kite appeared. Another God blessing! I wish the photos had come out better, but I never saw it again. It's a summer bird for Louisiana and Mississippi. According to my bird list, I first documented this bird in 2013 at Avery Island. The Swallow-tailed Kite is one of my favorite falcons due to the angular shape and black and white color blocks. Graceful flyers, too.
