May 15. This neighborhood Pitbull mix greeted me the day I arrived in Mississippi and came by several times a day until I left. He walked beside me every day, making me feel protected. I firmly believe this was another God blessing to help me through a challenging time of being full-time caretaker for my dad. No one in the neighborhood seemed to know who the dog belonged to, but one man said he gave him the name Buster, so that's what I called him. I bought some dog treats and put a bowl of water out for him. He became really attached to me and I to him. His pale greenish-yellow eyes were mesmerizing and his playful, yet gentle spirit had a calming effect on me. Yep, definitely a God thing!
