As I sipped coffee this morning, I opened the weather app. According to this novel invention (which is wrong more than right), I had about an hour before a potential heavy rain. So I quickly threw on walking clothes, laced my shoes and headed out.

At around 7500 steps, nearing my home, I looked up and saw the most dramatic sky! How threatening it appeared, yet it only rained lightly for a short time. We never received the rain we were supposed to get. The threatening clouds reminded me of God's great power, and the lack of a storm, His restraint.

Every day I pray for Jesus to come as I watch the world unravel. Many people are stressed out about things happening locally and globally, and I'm just thankful that my hope is placed in the Creator of heaven and earth. The phrase "Fear not" or "Be not afraid" occurs 103 times in the King James bible. I am learning to lean on my Creator and not let current world events instill fear. Pray, seek God's face, and you will find peace.
