160/366 | Fresh as a Daisy

Photography subjects are difficult to find on Mondays because it's laundry and errand-running day. I made an effort to shoot the Mississippi Kites flying around an adjacent neighborhood, but my shots were awful. Just awful. Maybe next time I'll try a different metering mode.

The peach-colored Gerber daisies I bought a few weeks ago have presented me with blooms galore. They reside in a clay pot by my prayer chair. The same variety (different color) planted in the flower bed, whose roots can reach as far as it pleases, has only bloomed once. And I've fertilized it. Perhaps it doesn't like the soil. But all the other plants are thriving and blooming like crazy. I think the Gerber daisy is persnickety. The flower below will turn a beautiful mango color soon.
