My efforts to get crisp shots of the Mississippi Kite failed again. Actually, the shot I had planned for was the Monarch emerging from his chrysalis, but that did not happen today. Maybe tomorrow. Today I filled all the bird feeders and there was decent activity at the peanut bar. The Downy Woodpecker was not afraid to peck at any bird that got too close, but she seemed okay with the young House Finch. All the birds are a joy to watch.
