Today was rough. The husband and I went to Goodyear to get new tires on my SUV in preparation for my trip to Mississippi next week. The guy was trying to upsell an alignment, and me and my mask and my worsening headache weren't having any of it. Is this a new way to break down a person's resolve? Mask 'em up while lack of oxygen to the brain allows the seller to push their money-grabbing tactics? The guy was so pushy, the manager came out of the back room to make him stop. He recognized us from previous visits and maybe saw I was about to faint. Honestly, I don't know how I'd manage if I had to wear a face diaper all day. You workers have my full admiration. God bless you!
Finally got out of there for the right price, only to walk outside to loud thunder and a big bolt of lightning. We made it home before the tropical shower hit.
With all that said, I didn't think I'd have a shot for today. Just in case, I photographed a cloud formation with my phone. I was standing in the driveway admiring my bougainvillea and getting much-needed fresh air, when a Monarch lit on a bloom. I quickly ran into the house, grabbed my camera and hurried back out. He went from the salvia, then back to the bougainvillea, spending the most time there. I was so grateful that he hung around for me to get a shot.
I pray tomorrow is a better day.
