204/366 | Bluer Than Blue

It's so incredibly hot. I know I keep mentioning that in my posts, but it's rough, y'all! Like winter, I sometimes get the blues during summer, too. I'm trying to keep my focus on Jesus, but it's not always easy with the craziness going on in the world right now. Pray for our country to wake up and for peace.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4

This morning Goodyear called to say my car was ready, so I actually walked the mile-and-a-half to get it!  So now there's only about 4000 steps left to complete my day. I listened to my daily devotional podcasts on the way there, praying afterwards. It was hard to concentrate with the noise of the busy road. God knows my heart.

As I sat in my prayer chair late this afternoon, a breeze would come to cool me off every so often. Around 3PM the birds came to feed, as usual. Today was the usual cast of characters: Carolina Wrens, Northern Cardinals, House Finches, Eastern Bluebirds, and the Blue Jay below. A squirrel kept trying to sneak in, but I made weird noises loud enough to scare him away, but not the birds. I already have the Blue Jay in my project, but I like this one better.
