So much for returning to downtown Baton Rouge for more photos. The heat is way too intense. Since we eat out every Sunday, I had to get my walk in this morning, and when I got back home I was spent and drenched.
This Gerbera daisy was a transplant that I had very little hope for. Amazingly, a bud popped up last week, opened up and turned bright pink. You can see part of the fully opened pink bloom on the right. Now she has a companion. It's amazing to me how the color transforms from green to yellow to pink.
