After bible class yesterday I drove to the Old Louisiana State Capitol Building to get the famous stained glass ceiling. The cast iron spiral staircase leads to a second floor gallery with a brilliant display of stained glass. It's harder to capture than you might think because of the spiral and limited space. If you don't have good balance, you might fall backwards. The interior is magnificent, designed with marble and rich wood throughout, and keyhole designs on the staircase banister. It's so remarkable, it will require a few more trips. Although this is not a unique perspective, I'm happy with the way it turned out.

I am really LOVING the 17-40mm lens. It's an older Canon L series lens without image stabilization, but I have been very pleased with the quality of the images.
