Late this afternoon I headed back out to Burden Gardens to see if my little Hummingbird friend was still there. The hummers will be leaving us soon and I want to take advantage while they're still here. I usually don't post the same subject two days in a row, but it seems I've hit the jackpot at this location and want to mine it while the mining's good!

My goal today was to get her drinking from the cigar plant. I had only a short window of time before I needed to return home in order to start dinner. Right at the very minute I was to leave, she appeared and posed nicely in front of the cigar bloom. Credit must go to God, for I did indeed asked Him for assistance.

Quick as a hummingbird...she darts so eagerly, swiftly, sweetly dipping into the flowers of my heart. ~James Oppenheim
